Western NC mini farm located between Hendersonville & Brevard, NC

Here is a view of the entrance to the house. The house is located 0.2 miles off HWY 64 and 0.8 miles off HWY 280.  The house is 14 miles from the Asheville Airport, 15 min to Brevard, 20 min to Hendersonville, and 40 min to Asheville, NC.

The physical address is 2560 King Rd, Pisgah Forest NC, 28768

The house was built in 1950.  The entire driveway is paved.  The driveway crosses another neighbor's land from King Rd to the house and has a 30' deeded right-of-way.

The house sits on 4.9 acres of pasture that had horses on it when we purchased the home.  The pasture is very flat for this area and has several great home sites available if one wished to build a new home and use this house as a guest home.  There are also two small animal sheds located on the pasture.

This is the view you see when you look to the South of the house over the home's pasture.  The back of the property boarders a small creek which feeds into the French Broad River.  The mountain you see past the pasture is in a 100 year conservation easement so this view will remain intact.  There are also numerous large trees on the property and in this view you can see two large oaks on the right just past the animal shed.

Here is a view looking back from the pasture (from the side of one of the large oaks) toward the house.

To the right of the main house there is a guesthouse (deeded separate) which could also be purchased with the main house if you so choose.  See the bottom of this page for more info and for photos of the guesthouse.

The house is 3BR/3BA. The master bedroom is on the main floor and the two guest bedrooms are on the top floor, separated by an open loft. As you can see, the inside has a lot of wood (not wood paneling). The house has a kitchen with hand made cabinets, a large living room with cathedral ceiling and skylights.

Here is a view from the deck of the house looking West.  All neighbors on each side own at least 5 acres and some have horses. The sunsets are beautiful!

The owner we bought the house from had a developer interested in widening the 30' right of way and building a neighborhood in the pasture.  We purchased the house from her with plans to build a new home in the pasture and surround it with a small orchard and berry pick. Then we planned to rent the main house and the guest house as weekly vacation rentals.  Unfortunately we need to leave this area so the house would love a new owner.

The barnhouse and 4.9 acres of pasture is being short sold for $184,900.

Call the agent listed above for more info or to schedule a showing.

We have had some requests for more interior photos of the barnhouse...

The following photos are of the guesthouse.  It is also available for sale...

The guesthouse was built in 1950 and has 1060 sqft of heated space and sits on 0.6 acres.  The house has 2BR/1BA, a large living room, galley kitchen, utility room, and a screened in porch.  The house also has a deck on the front of the house.  The property also comes with a detached deck away from the house with a spectacular view, especially in the Winter.  There are some raised gardening beds, several flower beds, lots of evergreens for privacy, and a few old large trees on the property.
In 2010 we put in new doors, windows, blinds, central heating and air, a new refrigerator, and made a few other improvements.  This house would make a great rental if one were to purchase the barnhouse.

The guesthouse is deeded separate from the mini farm and it IS NOT part of the short sale.  If you are interested in purchasing the guesthouse you can contact the agent for more info.

We are asking $119,900 for the guesthouse and 0.7 acres.
